Most people agree that vaccines are one of the
greatest achievements of modern science that have
improved the lives of millions of people.
Although
vaccines are remarkably effective and safe, there
are a small percentage of people who will
experience adverse reactions to a vaccine which
may cause debilitation or even death.
For this reason, Congress enacted the “National Vaccine Inury
Compensation Act” (NVICP). Designed to compensate the few people injured in the effort to erradicate serious diseases.
Although the program has helped thousands of people, filing a claim successfully depends on the injury symptoms, when the injury was sustained, etc. In addition, claims must be filed within the statute of limitations, which may vary based on the type of injury.
Landrum & Amponsah can help you determine if you are eligible to file a claim and in most cases, legal fees are covered by the NVICP.
